Convention Great Event The greatest -state C hristian En deavor affair ever held in this state closed at Salem, Ore., on Sunday evening the 21st. The delegates be gan pouring into the eapitol city on Thursday and by night a great gathering had assembled. Before the sessions were closed on Sunday evening more than 1JHMI delegates w ere registered from outside places and more than 30ft Salem citizens w ere registered making more than 1400 in all. They w ere nearly all young people too. The pastors w ere conspicuous by their absence. The people of Salem were at their best in caring for a convention. Mr. C. A. Wells h aded the Salem committee and Judge Geo. Rossman was his associate chairm an. They w ere surrounded by a goodly com pany of efficient helpers and never was a convention better cared for. The w eather was typical spring w eather in Salem.
