Square Dealing In the last issue o f the Herald there is a ¿ommuriication from E. O. Bissell, in which he asks for space to give a true version o f what he terms a dispise- able alfair. Your correspondent has read his article, several times, and cannot discover what his version is. Thu facts in regard to the act of hood- lumism to which he refers were given by me to the Herald soon after its oc currence. These facts were that some degenerates had removed the rubber tires and had taken off and misplaced the wheels o f a buggy in which Haiti« j Head and two friends attended an en- j tertainment held at the school house. It seems Mr. Bissell appointed himself a committee o f one to investigate the case, but as he failed to interview any person who had personal knowledge o f the crime his investigation cannot be called a success. If he wanted the facts why did he not seek them from the only persons except the guilty parties who know them? These parties are Mr Head and the two who ac companied him in the rig. Mr. Head can be reached by a letter addressed to him at Happy Camp, California, and the others are well known residenta o f Agate and who can be fount! at any time. The statement about the tires being cut to pieces and the pa\ ment o f * are some of the reasons why we are doing the biggest business of any store in Southern Oregon. W h a t Bill Says is So.
