Mr. Witten, who started the bank two years ago, has made a host of friends here, and his close attention to business and his absolutely straight forward methods has placed the Central Point bank in the very front rank among similar institutions in the smaller cities o f Oregon. The bank is firmly established and enjoying the patronage and confidence o f the community. Mr. Witten and his most estimable family will be missed from the social and business life o f the town, and the Herald is informed that only considera tions relating to his health induced him to give up the business he has so firmly established, and to sees a home else where.
