You can get along without Us, but you can get M ore M oney W ith U s . How can this be done ? Here’s the point— fill in the figures yourself. We come to you with a proposition to furnish you ample water for irrigation, where you want it and when you want it ; cheaper and more convenient than a ditch or steam or gasoline engine. WE DO IT WITH THE ELFCTRIC PUMP. *4*4*4* 4-I-M* * T H E ELECTRIC PUM P In Competition With the Ditch, Canal, Steam or Gas oline Driven Pump is driving them out o f the field in Southern California and elsewhere. It has made the desert blossom; made worthless land valuable; quadrupled the value o f lands and products and in some cases the increase in value has been Ten-Fold and a Hundred-Fold. Can sufficient water be obtained for irrigation from wells ? Some people say no. ! They used to say No in the Desert o f Southern California; but they do so no longer; they are getting the water and plenty o f it ; there and also in the Rogue River Valley. | In California they have to go from 50 to several hundred feet ; in depth and pay $54 per season per horse power. ; In the Rogue River Valley in the most o f cases you get ample ; water from 16 to 50 feet depth and you only pay $30 per Horse ; Power for the irrigating season. ; • 4 * 4 * 4 -: W h a t is the Advantage o f Irrigating W ith Electric Pumps ? |k|OW get together with your '' neighbors and form a par ty line and thus divide up the expense Among yourselves for Electric Power, Electric Light and Telephones. • e*3 IRRIGATION Now, Altogether! My motor ran the season througti with only one oiling, but I oiled the pump every morning when I started the motor, which Is ali there Is to look after. It gave the least trouble of any machinery I ever used. Now, as to what f accomplished with water—I m o r e t h a n t r e b l e d t h e y i e l d o f c o r n CENTRAL POINT, ORE., March 20, 1906. CONDOR WATER & POWER CO., TOLO, OREGON. GENTLEMEN:—I thought it might be of some interest to you to give, some kind of a statement as to what I thought of your Centrifugal Pump, operated by Electric Motor, purchased from you last May. Haw it works and bow it suit! me : The Electric Motor I use is a live-norse-power belted direct to a three-inch Centrifugal Pump. This pump will give from 300 to 300 gallons per minute, depending on the lift. A 3-horse-power motor, however, would run this pump and give the same amount of water. On one part of my place I had to force water 480 feet on a grade of 12 to 13 feet; 20 feet from well, through a 4-inch pipe. I got from 350 to 400 gallons per minute. This elevation I speak of is above the pump. I could pump 500 gallons per minute from my well, day and night ail season up to Nov. 1. This was the last pumping I did In order to wet the ground so I could dig my trees. My well Is 16 feet deep, six feet wide and 12 feet long, with no tuanelg. I estimate that I can irrigate 120 acres of ground witli my pump. Now, as to the working of the electric pump and motor, neither have given me any I could start the motor running on Monday morning and it would be running Saturday night, if s o m e ODe would not call around and stop it. -J- AND I DOUBLED THE APPLE CROP. I had no alfalfa to water and was not prepared to get water to our garden, hut I raised a fine crop of beeta on ground that, without water, would not have grown anything. As to Sweet Corn, aak J. W. Merritt. It w as THE LARGEST CORN I EVER SAW , AND I HAVE RAISED CORN IN IOWA AND ON THE MISSOURI RIVER BOTTOM. I am going to grow some more this year. Call and see it. I used water on my seedlings for nursery stock and I am well pleased with the results. I grew 150,000 seedlings that, without water, I could not have grown, and as a result have 123,000 pears budded and grafted and 25,000 apples to say nothing of the benefit in Other ways. The Electric Pump Is the thing. Yoa ean have the water where you want It and when you want It. which Is the essen tial thing. My children could start and stop the motor and oil the pumn I consider that there Is no more danger in a motor than machinery with c jg wheels, and not as much for children. To close, will say that I am well pleased with the motor and pump, and well pleased with the way you people have treated me. Hoping you success, I am very truly yours, J. S. BARNETT. .. *8*8*8-i-H-Ka4-M-*e>j>H-K-5*4H-fr8*8+8-frH-i^3>fr-H-fô4H-H-8-fr3*8-H^ Now, Where is the hitch ? Now here is where we SHINE. SEVENTH—You can use Electric Power to Saw Wood, Grind Feed, Churn Butter, Separate Cream, do the Washing and Ironing, Cooking and Heating; keep yourself cool in summer with Electric Fans; it drives away the flies, purifies i he air, runs the Sewing Machine and numerous other uses o f which not the least is to have your wife and family rise up and bless you for the com fort and ease thus afforded. EIGHTH—You can use the Electric Hot Water Bottie or Pad, one o f the greatest and most beneficial discoveries o f the twentieth century; affords dry and continuous heat; warms the bed; prevents cold feet; is o f the greatest benefit for pain, Rheumatism, Neuralgia, Pneumonia, Bron chitis, Coughs, Colds, Consumption, Croup, Whooping Cough and pain in any part o f the body. NINTH —You can use Electric Light; as the Sun (which is concentrated Electricity) dispels the fog, dampness, disease, and Gives Life Itself to all the Human Race and the Animal and Vege table Kingdoms, so the Electric Light at night performs the same Life-Giving.Functions in a milder form. .
