That is the unusual plight of Betty Blythe and TWO DAYS 4É of July Celebration featuring Clyde Cook * and Louise Fazenda, coming to Moro Theater next Saturday night. “Domestic Troubles” is a tangled tale of twin brothers, played by the ■ inimitable - little jackanapes of the guests of the Oregon Cave* resort management. During the absence of the editor, Mr. Otto Hoffman will be in charge of the office and issuing the Sherman County Observer next week. Assis tance extended to him in the securing of news items of local interest will be appreciated by both Mr. Ireland and Mr. Hoffman. July 3rd with baseball game, horse racing and sports. Followed by a big dance in the evening. Music during the day by the United Artisan’s Entertainers, who also play for the dance. Patriotic Program starts at 9:30 a. m. July 4th in the city park auditorium. ' Address of the day will be made by Rev. Arthur Hicks of Moro, Ore. Music on July 4th by Sherman County Marine Band Afternoon Program will include Baseball, Horse Racing and Miscellaneous Athletic Sports. Prizes donated by the business men of Sherman county. Big Dance at Night Ï— editor of the Sherman County Ob server -will take a weeks vacation, beginning this Friday morning when Editor and Mrs. C. L. Ireland will leave Moro by auto for Klamath Falls, Crater lake, the Oregon Caves west of Roseburg, and home by way of either McKenzie pass highway or Portland. The trip is made primarily to meet with the SUU Editorial Association members at Crater lake, beginning Saturday noon and continuing until Monday noon as guests of the Crater TWO BIG DANCES. E. Stephens, superin tendent of Moro Experiment Station, to inspect the work of the station on I the occasion of Annual Field Day held Monday afternoon. I The visitors were shown plots of field peas that had grown this crop to advantage for IB years; also nu merous other plots demonstrating ! rotation of crops, various methods of cultivation, the results of poor farm ing as well as the result* of method ical practical farm work. * They were shown many different ¡0 varieties of oats, barley and wheat and the methods explained whereby new varieties were obtained at the cost of tedious painstaking labor and the careful compilation of records from a long number of years work. The new wheat varieties obtained by crossing federation wheat with forty-fold and similar wheats were shown the visitors from the southern part of the county and met with their enthusiastic approval. The number of farmers applying for small parcels of seed wheat of the new varieties j soon exceeded the available supply that the station had on hand. Seed wheat was prombed to a large num ber, but with the reservation that if the new wheat varieties were not com mercially worthwhile that the growing I of the new wheat would be stopped ' by those who were given seed for trial on their farms.
