Wilful Destrnctioa.— No person shall, individually or in as sociation with one or more others, wilfully, break, injure, tamper with or remove any part or parts of any motor vehicle for the purpose of in juring, defacing or destroying such vehicles, or temporarily or perma nently preventing its useful operation for any purpose against the will or without the consent of the owner of such motor vehicles, or in any other manner wilfully or maliciously inter fere with or prevent the running of such motor vehicles or the operation of th« same. (Laws 1921, e. 371,p. 724.) Section 16. Coaseat of Owaar.— No person, exeept an authorised officer, marshal, constable or police man shall, without the consent of the owner or p«non lawfully in charge of a motor vehicle, climb upon of into such motor vehicle, whether the same be at rest or in motion; or, while such motor Vehicle is at rest or unattended attempt to manipulate any of the levers, th« starting crank or other device, brakes or mechanism, or to set said vehicle in motion. (Lawf 1921, e. 871, p. 724.) In view of the fact that complaints have been made that parties have been tampering with automobiles ta thia community, and thereby causing considerable inconvenience and possi ble danger to the lives of the ownerr thereof, warning is hereby given that any person or persons violating the above sections of the Oregon Auto- mobil« Law will be prosecuted with out clemency.
