The action of Governor Pierce in vetoing the much-discussed special election measure passed by the 1925 legislature wm upheld in a decision by Justice Browp following mandamgs proceedings In the Oregon supreme court. The decision follows the action filed by Representative Swan of Al-1 bany, who had demanded that Becre-1 tary of State Koser comply with the provisions of the act as passed by both houses. Secretary Koser assumed the position that be could not authorise a ¿pedal election after Governor Pierce had vetoed the bill.
