Hot Weather Causes Fire on the Powell $ Self Propelled Combine The low percentage of humidity last Friday was responsible for the motor on the Roy Powell self pro pelled combine setting fire to the machine. About >100 damage was caused, mainly to the wiring system and magneto. It is thought that the strong east wind, blowing onto the rear of the machine shortly after a comer was turned, set fire to chaff that had lodged on the warm motor.
