The local passenger train was partially wrecked on the down trip at Wasco Thursday morning. Just after the train left the Wasco depot the engine hit a large truck loaded with gravel. The driver of the truck was thrown about fifteen feet, without receiving serious injuries, the truck was demolished, the pilot on the engine was wracked and some steam pipes cut.
