The people of the Rosebush co.n munity have had some interesting evenings at their school house during the past few weeks and as a result have organized a Community Club with Freída Koepke as president, Eula Stark as secretary and Henry Petera as treasurer. The club has plans that w ill keep the community busy for the remainedr of the winter. Rosebush school has been working to meet the Stand an! and Superior School requirements and w ill no doubt be one of the Superior Schools of Sherman county before the close of the school year. Mias Amanda Steele is the teacher and deserves great credit for this excellent result. Many citizens residing in the vicin ity of Moro have signed petitions cir culated here during the last week re ««esting County Clerk Mrs. Mary L. The petition states, among other qual ifications, that Mrs. Bartlett is a widow with a child to support as was Mrs. Hoskinson when first elected county clerk. We have been informed that at the time Mrs. Hoskinson wrote to Mrs. Bartlett, informing her of her dismissal, it was the intention of Mrs. Hoskinson to have Mrs. Bartlett work half time in the office with Mrs Hoskinson'a daughter, Jessie. As result the aforesaid p.o. had a bon fire of his own after the coasting party had disbursed and the bob sled w reduced to ashes. The boys now have a new bob sled, the county has $10. more than it had, paid into court by a member of the coasting party, and the incident is a closed chapter in city life. Vernon L. Agee and Miaa Ruby Rich were united in marriage January 23d at the home of the bride's parents in Wasco, Dr. J. C. Ghormley, offici ating aa clarygman. Miss Rich wee one of the popular young set of Wasco and her chosen one is a promising young business man of North Bend, Oregon, where the couple have gone to make their home.
