Only eleven, including the board, were present at the annual school meeting held last Monday. The busi ness coming before the meeting was completed in twenty minutes. W. C. Bryant was elected director and R. C. Ornduff clerk, both being reelected. D R IL L S At the commencement exercises at Hill Military Academy in Portland June 16th Harland McDonald, of Mc Donald in this county, was honored by being appointed a Cadet Lieutenant and was commended for his excellent work at the school. At the close of the exercises a competitive drill was held after which a reception and dance was held. Hill Military Academy was one of the schools to receive gov ernment military equipment during the past year. Farm Residence Burns The farm residence on the Ed Alley farm east of Grass Valley in the Rut ledge district was totally destroyed by fire Monday morning, together with practically all ita contents.
