Martin, manager of the Stan dard Oil Co. branch at Wasco, was in Moro this week consulting with busi ness men as to the shortage of gaso line in this county with a view to conservation of the fuel to permit a stock accumulating for hardest needs. He said that at-the present tim e there is leas than a two day supply in the tanks at Pôrtland and it is a serious question when the supply w ill equal the demand and that needless driving cars must he curtailed or else har vest operations w ill be greatly ham pered because of state wide rationing now in force. There is a diversity of opinion as to the cause of the short age, but all are agreed that a united effort must be made to allow a supply accumulate for .urgent harVe^ needs.
