M. Neal and wife returned home Tuesday from a brief visit at Prine ville. When they left Prineville the foot hills dose to town were covered with snow and ice a quarter inch thick was in water throiighs. It was a wel come contrast to return to warm sunny Sherman county. The contrast was the more noticable when it is known that only 100 miles separates this city and Prineville. The Moro Band will open the day with a concert, beginning at 10 a.m. A good spicy program will follow after which all vfrilI adjourn to the pavillion below where the long tables loaded with the fat of the land will greet the hungry throng. The after noon will be filled with the kind of competitive sports that all enjoy anil close with a farmers ball game under the’leadership of Herbert Root, cap tain of the Northern and J. J. Wiley captain of the Southern Sherman Coun ty team. This game alone will be worth going many miles to see. The children will have an import ant part in the activities of the day. Miss May, Industrial Club Leader, is arranging for special games for the smaller children on another section of the grounds. The Farm Bureau is furnishing the cups, plates, tin spoons, coffee, and sugar. No table linen will be needed. Bring your lunch ready to turn it over to the dinner committee. The reception committee will pres ent you with a card at the gate which will be good for an introduction to every one on the grounds. Be sure to come in time for the Band Concert.
