buildings, this may not be as com­
prehensive if the exhibit has to be
moved some distance to be assem­
bled. The city of M oro has given

as the present law directs, all its

and bleachers,
as well as all the
water needed during fair time.
Colonel C. A . Buckley, with his
usual generosity, led the pledge of
$800 raised in a short half hour,
by a gift towards the fair o f $100,
quickly followed by L. Barnum
and Chris Anderson each for the
same amount. Then D r. O . J.
Goffin, W m . Rudolf, G .A . Meloy,
and W . F. Jackson, each volun­
teered a pledge of $50, followed
by R. T . Morgan. H . W . Strong,

association.

The officers next proceeded to
business, and after discussions con­
cerning permanent fair grounds,
on motion o f Col. Buckley, sec­
onded by Judge Fulton, it was de­
cided to buy the grounds adjacent
to the experiment station at M oro,
and proceed to improve the same
in the best manner possible this
year, and hold the fair thereon
next fall. Fair dates for 1910
were fixed for October 10th, 11th
and 12th.
It is understood that besides
the cash in bank, and subscrip­
tions to be collected, M oro city
contributed the present grand
stand, park fencing, etc., which of
itself is a generous donation, and
from any view point it would ap­
pear that there are now no ob­
stacles to the progress of the Sher­
man county fair association, and
that the fair for 1910 will be a
monumental success, with a long
pull, a strong pull, and a pull all
together.
