Mrs James Wood« was the victim of tbe Friday incident, and is laid up at home under tbe care of Dr O J Gor- fln, with tbe bones ol one ankle bro ken, and the other ankle very badly sprained. Tbe accident occurred as she was stepping to a back at the ourb on FirsV street, in which she was to ride home on Hood street, stepping on a broken brick whioh rolled under her weight, and the in ju ry waa inflicted almost instantly. Friends will be glad to learn that she is resting oomfortably. and look ing upon the sunny side of life.
