The antics of the clowns were funny and created a great deal of amusement, for to skate and be funny at the same time is not easy, but they did all that was expected of them. Mies Via Sayrs carried off the prize for the best lady character, represent ing the cowboygirl; J. M. Green took the prize as best gentleman character, representing H a p p y Hooligan. The New York Tribune Farmer. Horses, cattle, Bheep and swine, are owned probably by four-fifths of the readers of The Observer, and all, farmers and the man with but one horse or cow, in country or vil lage, would be j^eatly benefited by reading from week to week the fine articles on the care and treatment of live stock, by Dr C DSmead, the world famous veterinary writer, in the New York Tribune Farmer. Dr Sinead’s articles appeal to practical men, and no live stock writer in the United States gives more informa tion of every day actual value, pro longing the usefulness, and saving the lives of valuable animals. These articles, with the other departments, poultry, horticulture, dairy, science mechanics, etc, keep the N. Y. Trib une Farmer in the lead of the Agri cultural press of the United States.
