W e do n o t q u estio n the sin cerity of these people and we ap p lau d all w ho striv e earnestly to un d erstan d and observe the Scriptures. But -a re they rig h t in callin g the Bible, p riv ately in te r p reted, the sole source o f C h ristian tea .k in g ? ‘ H o ld th e teachings th a t you have learned," w rote St. Paul, "w h eth er by w ord or by letter of ours" (2 Thess. 2 :1 5 ) .
