Twelve Oregon girls hav-i been selected from any applicants to work on this team. They will assist with duties in the 4-H pavilion from August 27 to September 8. Diane was a 4-Her for nine years in Sherman county and is now attending the University of Oregon where she will be a sopho more next year. Pete Mourer is here to look after the railroad business in town while Mr. and Mrs. Mel Parker take their vacation. Mollie McLachlan has moved back to Moro after trying Port land a few years. She and her sister, Lottie Lee have been here for a wee< While Mr. and Mrs. Doyn Price are finding some cool fishing over in Idaho, Bud Molitor is here to take over the management of the b«nk for the interim. The annual Sherman County picnic will be held at Laurelhurst park at southeast 39th and Ank- ney on Sunday, August 12 at 1:30 p. m. and all present and for mer countians are urged to come says Charles E. Dr. Hugh Davidson's father and younger brother, here from Wis consin, came up with him Tues day to look over the country. It is the brother’s first visit to Ore gon. Mrs. Margaret J. Slusher, who as Mag Sigman will always be re membered to a generation of Grass Valley school children who attended her fourth and fifth grade classes, diet! Tuesday from sudden Illness at the age of 78. She has lived for many in Dufur. Mrs. Eddie Shoemaker was here from Livermore, California last week to attend the funeral of her grandmother at Stevenson, Wash . who died after a long illness, and to visit her parents Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gentry. Wasco News Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Odell Jr. of Hamel, Minnesota, are the parents of a baby boy, born July 19th at Minneapolis. The baby weighed 10 lbs 6 oz. at birth and will I*? named Thomas Robert.
