PAGB 3 »HERMAN COUNTY JOURNAL, MORO. OREGON Moro Personals Mrs. Edna Melzer accompanied by a friend, Mrs. Evelyn Wright, came up from Portland Sunday for the church 75th anniversary. Here also was Mrs. Wilma Pink erton Poole, who now lives in Portland. She was a daughter of the late Robert Pinkerton. Mrs. W. B. Johnston came up from Newberg for the church an niversary and to visit her son Theodore and wife. Age doesn’t bother her and she has lots of it, in fact, 91 years. Mr. and Mrs. Clair Balzer brought her parents, Mr. and Mrs Jim Blagg home to Grass Valley Tuesday after a weeks stay at Cove on the Balzer chick en ranch. Mrs. Ida Moon, nee Ida Mowry, resident of Moro in the real early days when the big Mowry house (on the hill west of Alfred Rock's) was the center of social life for young people. Brothers George, Bill and John have gone on. Mrs. Leta Eslinger returned Monday from a trip to Philomath where she lived when a girl, to attend a reunion of former stu dents of the United Brethren academy. Mr and Mrs. William Frees and their four children arrived Friday to visit at the Giles French home. She was Jane French. He has re cently left the navy after 20 years service, the last three of which were spent in Georgia. They will settle in the west. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Hoskmson of Eugene, newlv married, came through Moro Saturday while on a short trip. Hugh drives truck at Eugene. Earl Griggs came home from San Francisco for his final visit w’ith his parent«, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Griggs, before going to Japan as a member of an army unit.
