For the benefit of freshness and
to bring the comment up to date
we reiterate it. There is not now,
nor ever was, any economic or
geographical reason for building
a bridge at The Dalles. It was
done for the pride and vain glory
of Second street. If Wasco Coun
ty taxpayers eventually have to
pay for part of it it may teach
them to not believe all they are
