Mr. Bevan is a prominent mem ber of the British Labor party but is considered a little far to the left to lx? the leader of it. He has been around government long enough to know the problems. The same problem concerns us. We go blithely on lx>rrowing money, increasing the national debt, for the pur|x»se of giving money to various |x>litlcal groups whose votes seem important at the moment. Nearly every con gressman has his pet projects each with Its absolutely neces sary appropriation. Individuals, also, are piling up debt on cars, homes, household equipment, re creational accessories.
