Quinn Thornton has already departed on a similar mission, having been sent forth by Governor Aberna thy on his (the Governor's) own authority. Mr. Thornton’s depar ture has caused suspicion to arUe among the legislators that some deep-layed political plot is afoot, and Mr. Meek is sent to forestall same, as well as to ask assistance of the general govern in the pre sent Indain troubles.
