A group of friends called on Mrs. Louis Sather Monday in hon or of her birthday and wished her many more such occasions. Mr. and Mrs. l>ewey Thompson came home Sunday from Hono lulu where they had spent six weeks in the sun. Dewey is tan ned like a beachcomor and says Hawaii is fine when you stay long enough to really see it. Miss Edith Paulson, chairman of the Rc»x?kah entertainment committee, has announced that Sharon Belshe will read her win ning essay in the contest spon sored by the lodge to increase in terest in United Nations at the lodge moating March 25. There will also l>e musical numt>ers. The Rebekahs had a card party in March and entertained mem- bers from Wasco.
