Johnson will be sorry to hear that she has been taken to the hopltal as a re sult of a heart attack. Mr. and Mrs. Afton McIntyre went to Portland last week to visit Mr. and Mrs. Donald Adams and brought the Adams’ son Mark home with them for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Keith McDonald went to Portland Sunday for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Tuggle were recent business visitors in Port land. Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Kaseberg have gone to Santa Barbara to spend about a month. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Engbetg and Kaye were Sunday dinner guests at the home of the L. L. Funks. Robert Root of Wasco has l»een selected for membership in the Oregon State college chapter of Silver Wings, air force ROTC drill honor society. Root, a freshman majoring in agriculture, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Root of Wasco. He is a 1956 graduate of The Dalles high school. Sandra Foss celebrated her 11th birthday at the Girl Scout meet ing Monday when her mother brought a cake which she served to all the Girl Scouts. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Hllder- brand and Danny left this week for a two weeks visit in Califor nia.
