Mrs. Maddox has been here now several weeks helping care for her daughter and their other child, Wpsley. Miss Mariyn Smith was guest of honor Saturday, November 2, at a birthday dinner celebrating her 14th birthday given by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Delmer Smith and her brother Billy. Guests included Lynn Rathbun, Judy Watkins, Rebecca Rhine hart, Darlene Gochnauer of Moro, Terry Kaseberg, Everett Royse, John Thomas, John Caipacl and Gary Fields. After dinner the ev ening was spent playing games and dancing, Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs, Albert Dormaier and family were Mr. and Mrs. W. Carr and Mr. and Mrs, Paul Dormaier of Spokane. They were here to at tend the wedding of James Clifton and Betty Dormaier, Mir. and Mrs. Joe Reeves and daughter*, Diane and Elaine, spent the weekend away. Mrs. Leo Watkins entertained the Dorcas society at her home Wednesday November 9. Mrs. L. L. Funk was co-hostess. The members voted to send do nations to “Helfers for Relief” fund and to the Okinawa missions. Convalescent cards were signed to send to Mrs. Sadie McKean. Mrs. Pat O’Meara and Mr*. Cake and coffee were served. Mr. and Mrs. George Drinkard, Joe Drinkard, junior and senior, drove to Hood River Tuesday for dental appointment*. Mr. and ^Irs. John Buck and son Johnny of Moro were Tues day evening dinner guests of her parenis, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Wat kins and family. Mr. Buck went bird hunting while here. Dale Howell of Hood River drove over Sunday to pick up Mrs. Howell and Mark, who had spent a week here assisting her sister Mrs. Joe Drinkard. and Mrs. Dewayne Roe of Camas.
