briefly last Thursday while on his
way to The Dalles to present the
award to the Legion team there
which won the state championship
that night in baseball.
Carl Webb, secretary of the Ore
gon Newspaper Publisher’s asso
ciation, was a brief visitor in Moro
last Friday when on his way to
Baker to hold a sectional meeting
for publishers in that part of the
state.
K. C. Burkes (Tiny Harris) of
Coos Bay was in town Friday to
meet a few' friends whom he knew
before World War I w hen he was
a resident of this county prior to
joining the navy.
