Keck says he has exam ined his car and finds that a cat could ride in comparative com fort on the frame which makes the story sound less fanciful. Mr. and Mrs. Giles French drove to Portland Monday returning Tuesday after he had spoken to the Republican Women of Ore gon’s Multnomah county chapter. A drivers license examiner will be on duty in Moro Tuesday Jan uary 18, at the courthouse from 10 a. m. to 3 p. m. The Moro Camp Fire Girls met Tuesday, January 10. They elected officers for this year. The officers are: Julie Woods, presi dent; Lana Jean Paulson, vice- president; Patty Zachary, secre tary; Janet Thompson, treasurer; Margaret Brown, sergeant of arms; Maureen Myers, scribe. Re freshments were served and the meeting was closed. The Harlandview grange will hold its regular meeting Satur day night, a group of members having gotten together last Sat urday and repaired the damage done when the stove exploded January 1. Installation of officers for the Rebekah lodge will be held Jan uary 18 following a pot luck din ner at the hall here. Both the Wasco and Moro lodges will in stall. The adjourned meeting of the county court held Friday found the members busy discussing a road program and otherwise get ting acquainted with county busi ness. A jury panel of 200 names was drawn. Wlallace May was ap pointed as a budget board member to replace Vernon Miller and A. C. Kaseberg was reappointed. Phil O'Meara was named as fair board member replacing Kenneth Frid ley. Word from Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Kaseberg of Wasco from Santa Barbara, California, is that they are enjoying the beautiful sun shine there and expect to spend sometime there. A federal tax agent will be at the court house in Moro next Thursday, January 20 to aid tax payers in making out their federal income tax. He will be here again on March 22 for the same purpose.
