Mrs. Alfred Solomon of Ber keley, California, left Moro Mon day, after a month’s visit with Rev. and Mrs. Alfred Solomon anti son. Dr. and Mrs. F. D. Logue were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Paul F. Alley Tuesday evening. Wily Knighten Jr. is home for a short furlough from the air force station in Colorado and will remain for his sister’s wedding Saturday. Mrs. Bonnie Peters Sharp was married Monday morning, June 7, to Demarest Schmitt and they are at present in Canada on a honeymoon. They will continue to live in Portland where he is a salesman for General Electric and shfc an office girl for Chip- man Chemical. They were here to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Peters last weekend. Lloyd Patterson has started work at the experimental sta tion as a graduate assistant here for the summer. lie, with his wife and small child, are living in the hotel building. He is a graduate of Utah State this year and a re sident of Idaho where he finished high school at Shoshone. With his family he will leave Saturday for coaching school at Eugene after which he will regis ter for summer school and at tend the university all summer. Leo Myers, principal, will also attend summer school at Eu gene. Miss Etlith Paulson, first and second grade teacher in Moro, expect! to attend summer school at Lewis & Clarke college in Portland for the greater share of her vacation time. Mr. and Mrs. Clair Balzer have moved into the house they re cently bought from Mrs. Edith Crews and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Kelso and family have moved in to the house they vacated. Mrs. Earl Gentry is reported to lie improving after a serious sick spell in the hospital. The liquid product, EQ-53, was developed by the U. S. depart ment of agriculture. Miss Scales said it Is sold under several brand names, but EQ-53 appears prom inently on most containers. The advantage of this insecti cide is that it permits pestproof ing while laundering by hand or in a machine. A few spoonsful in a wash or rinse water leaves a small, invisible quantity of DDT in the wool to ward off insects. One tablespoonful of the pro duct is used for each pound of wool to tie washed.
