Mrs. Hazel Belshe of The Dalles was in the county the first of the week visiting her son and daughter in law, Mr. and Mrs. Max Belshe. Mrs. Elizabeth Schaeffer left Tuesday evening by bus for The Dalles to be present Wednesday her 85th birthday, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. R. Barzee. Mr. and Mrs. George Mitchell left last week for Helix where they have bought a home and where they will live while George is working for a chemical com pany selling in the mid-Columbia wheat belt. Within a few days William Hall and family will move into the house on the ex periment station, vacated by the Mitchells, and will become act ing superintendent of the station for the time being. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Con lee went to their home at Oceanlake last week and Mr. and Mrs. Collis Moore went down a few days lat er so that both families could catch some winter salmon.
