The child health clinic will be held Friday February 8 and not Back in the dismal thirties when it was as easy to be broke as is now to be well off we used to take wheat for subscriptions. A sack a year was about the rule allhough wheat was sometimes as low as 30 cents and the Sherman County Journal was th<?n $1.50. Some very well-to-do citizens paid in that way and we all stayed in business. Now the price of the Journal is $2.00 and a bushel of wheat nearly eight times what it was. That makes the Sherman County Jour nal a bargain these days. - There are a few Sherman Countians who do not subscribe and we wish they did for we can think of no other publication written for Sherman Countians and their welfare.
