Mrs. Olive Cornett of Klamath Falls, national committeewoman of the Republican party, stopped briefly in Moro Sunday while on her way to visit an aunt in Yakima. Monday eastern Oregon mem bers of the Elvin Barnum family FRIDAY, AUGUST 23, 1950 gathered at the home of Lester Barnum for a family dinner in honor of the 76th birthday of Elvin Barnum. They are visiting Salt Lake, Yellowstone park, the Black hills, and in California. While here they were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cole who en tertained them Sunday with Mr. • and Mrs. Ed Alley and two grand children Karen and Dickie, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Alley, Mjr. and Mrs. Edgar Alley and family, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Alley and family, Mr. and Mrs. Earl McKinney and sons Malcolm and Leland of Ione and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Me- Jim Jones caught a bobcat near there. The cat had been going into the chicken house through^ window. Several have lost chick ens lately because of badgers or cats or other varmints. W hen they got to the arena nnd Saw the chib calves be ing exhibited they crowded up to the gate, pulled out their m ovie cam eras and color cameras anil spent the afternoon practically breathless at the w alking T-bones before them .
