Vis itors from the Kent lodge were present and Mrs. Bernard Mar tin of the Moro lodge. The Grass Valley degree staff put on the initiatory degree for seven can didates, Mrs. Doris Howell of Kent, Mrs. W illard Rolfe, Mrs. Marcus Eslinger, Mrs. Thelma Kaufman, Ina May Ziegler, Lois Kelley and Leone Moore, of Grass Valley. After the meeting a birthday party was held for members who had birthdays in May, those honored were Mrs. Alice Smithy and Mrs. W illard Barnett. Rrefreshments of ice cream and cake and coffee were served by Mrs. Don Smith and Mrs. Ross Fields, hostesses. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Clodfel ter and son, WendeU, went to The Dalles Sunday, May 14, to attend Baccalaureat services for The Dalles high school of which their dauhter, JoAnn, was a member.
