Donald flew down getting here Easter Sunday to surprise his mother. Mr. and Mrs. Alton Axtell and small daughter, recently adopted, came Easter Sunday from Yaki ma, Wn., to visit his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clair Axtell. Mrs. Axtell and baby remained for the week when Alton returned to get them. Connie Wilson is replacing Mrs. Bonnie Sharp as secretary in the office of County Agent, T. W. Thompson. Miss Eve Shelton, Miss Vivian Hepp, Mrs. Ray Duerst, Mrs. Bill Robins and Mrs. Bill Lewis, all of Portland came Monday to spend the day visiting Miss Evelyn Christianson and Mrs. M o rtg a g e Loans Daisy Byers. Mrs. Elva Bryant of Shedd came up to be on hand for the dedication of the new church Tuesday night and remained to visit friends until Thursday. Jay C. Freeman was taken to a hospital in The Dalles Tuesday evening after becoming quite ill at his home in Moro.
