Gearhart as the speaker. Gifts were exchanged with re freshments served by Mrs. B. C. Baumgartner as hostess. Those present included Mrs. Dean Reynolds, Mrs. Gene Reynolds, Mrs. Baumgartnr. Mrs. Boyce Blaylock, Mrs. Ivan Blagg, Mrs. Herman Ziegler, Mrs. Edgar Al ley, Mrs. Charles Perrigo, Mrs. Frank Bayer, Mrs. Frank Bayer Jr. and Mrs. Olds. Mr. and Mrs. O. N. Ruggles and Mrs. Orville Ruggles and son. Dean, attended the wedding of the former’s sister, Mrs. Sarah Rasmussen and Jens Pet erson, both of Pendleton, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ruggles at Wasco Sunday. Starr Ruggles of Stayton also attend ed the wedding and came home with Mr. and Mrs. O. N. Ruggles for an indefinite visit. Ed Fritts came home Sunday from Portland to spend the hol idays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Shelton Fritts. Don Cox returned home Satur day from Goldendale where he spent several days visiting at the Charles Forrester home. Eu gene Forrester, a student at Wa shington State college, came home with him and spent the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace May w’ere in Portland over the week end shopping and attending the Ice Cycles. Mr. and Mrs. Donald von Bor- stel and daughters were in Port land over the week end visiting relative^. Their daughter, Joy, stayed down with her grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Jenkins, until after Christmas. At the close of school Friday the teachers will leave for the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Keiper Will go to Mullan, Idaho to spend Christmas with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Mc- Eachem and to ' Lewiston to spent New Years with his par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Keiper; Mrs. Fred Crowley will go to Earlie to spend the holidays with her son. Fred Crowley Jr. and Mrs. Catherine Sonnenberg will go to Portland to her daughters for the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Archie Cantrall motored to Portland Wednesday returning home Fri- >n bui day evening. Mrs. A. A. Dunlap accompanied them on business returning home Saturday. Arzell I^emley t o o k * Mrs. I^emley to Portland Monday for medical attention. She has been in a hospital in The Dalles since last Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bayer and children Julia and Byron, and Ivorraine Stark were business visitors in The Dalles Saturday.
