MRS. JAMES E. BROWN
Mrs. James E. Brown of Grass
Valley died In a hospital In The
Dalles Thursday morning after
an Illness of several days. Funer
al services had not been arrang
ed at two o’clock that day.
Belle Burton Brown was born
at Yamhill July 6» 1879 being 70
years of age at the time of
death. She lived in Tillamook
for years and came to Sherman
county with her family over 30
years ago.
Surviving are her
widower and three sons, James
T., Robert and Max, all of thia
county.
Mrs. Brown was well known
for her ability at fancy work,
her displays winning prises an­
nually at the fairs. She made af-
ghans and rugs for the VFW
ambulance fund which did much
to pay for that vehicle.
