Notice is hereby given that an election will be held Monday, April 18, 1949, by the Rural School District of Sherman c °yntY» State of Oregon, in all component school districts of said Rura School District. The election will begin at 2 P. M. and will be held in the schoolhouse ln each of said componertt district. The purpose of the election is to submit to the legal voters of the rural school district the question of increasing the tax levy for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1949, over the amount limited by Section 11, Article XI o the Constitution. < The district base is small. Our income from the Basic Cchool Support fund is $20,000.00 less th an the previous year. To have standard schools it is necessary to buy equipment and supplies ano make definite improvements in school houses and on the grounds.
