Mrs Alfred Rock was hostess at a bridal shower at her home Saturday afternoon honoring Miss Dorothy Holmes. Miss Hol mes received many lovely gifts which were opened for the plea sure of all. Refreshments were served to about twenty guests by the hostess. Mr and Mrs Herman Peters had as their guests from Thurs day until Saturdav her brother and wife, Mr and Mrs Earl Folda from Iowa Citv, Iowa, and their son, Raymond Folda and his daughter from Tillamook. Mrs Ted von Borstel and son ir. law. C. J. Kullck of The Dal les were in Portland on business last Tuesday. Mrs von Borstel * stayed all night in The Dalles and brought her daughter Mrs Kullck and Infant-daughter hnmp with her from the hospital Wednesday. Mrs Frank von Borstel was a Portland visitor Thursday. Roy Tiller of Hermiston call- eed at the John Rust home a while Sunday on his way to Wamic to visit Mr and Mrs Mack Alsup. Mrs Ivan Blagg and Mrs Alton Coyle motored to The Dalles Monday to bring Ivan Blagg l»ome from the hospital where he spent several days for medical attention. The three sisters were visitors in The Dalles Saturday. Mr and Mrs Gus Hartmann of Wasco spent Sunday afternoon and evening visiting at the A. F. Balzer home. Mr and Mrs Kendrick Dunlap and iamily arrived Saturday from Carlton to spend the week end with bis parents, Mr and Mrs A. A. Dunlap. They brought her mother, Mrs A. F. McGinnis, up with them to spend a week with her son, Arch Cantrall and family. Md and Mrs Ray Elp of Ta coma, Wash., were dinner guests Monday evening at the home of Mr and Mrs Frank Bayer.
