Mrs George Updegraff under went an operation in Portland Tuesday for her back injury which occurred while skating seme years ago. She is reported as doing very well at a Portland hospital. Mr and Mre Roy Flint of Eu gene spent a part of Tuesday afternoon *n Moro visiting friends. Mrs Flint will be re membered here as Lucille Vale, former county nurse.. Mrs Earl Shipley and son, Tommy, of Los Angeles, Calif., are here to visit with Mr and Mrs Tom Dounra fo r a week or more. She has been visiting her mother at Vernonia and is now on her way home. Tom Jones, left last Friday for North Bend where he was call ed because of the illness of his brother. Mrs Edith Burnet has receiv ed word that C. V.
