School children came down with the dis ease over the weekend, following similar outbreaks at Kent and brass Valley and nearly a dozen children are out of school. Three Oveson children, Dick, Mary and Steve are down this week, Keith Thompson is recovering and oth ers are also in bed. . ABOUT THE COUNTY Mr and Mrs Roy Schilling and son, Gary, were business visitors in The Dalles Monday. Mr and Mrs Dqn Smith and Mr and Mrs John Block motored to Bend Wednesday on business. Mrs George Smith and Mrs Don Smith were business visitors in The Dalles Thursday. Mr and Mrs J. Caswell and Mr and Mrs J. Brown and family who spent several months here working with the REA crew left for Redmond Friday and Saturday to work between there and Prineville. Calling Friday at the home of Mrs Mae Fowler were Mr and Mrs John Monohan of Heppner. Dorsey Miller and daughter. Marilyn from Heppner were ov ernight guests Tuesday of Mr and Mrs Jewel Herin Mr and Mrs Chet Coats’ small daughter Mary has the measles this week. Elective officers for the convention from Kent are Lester Wilson, president and Robert Helyer, convention secre tary. Dr. V. D. Mills of The Dalles was called here Sunday to the C. R. Anderson home as their son, Dennis, was very ill with the measles. Quite a number in Grass Valley have the measles.
