Barnett of Grass Valley and Olan Stark, son of Sam Stark of Grass Valley were married at Goldendale, W n„ Wednesday, June 4. M r and Mrs Frank Bayer Jr were the only attendants. They left Thursday for Portland, and Olympia and Bremerton, Wash., on a wed ding trip. \ M r and Mrs Earl Olds and John and Barbara Alley went to Portland Saturday to the Ice Follies. Harry Stark and Herman Zieg ler motored to Ashland last Tuesday to attend the graduation exercises as Harry’s niece, Each-» el Parkhurst was among the' graduates. Miss Parkhurst re turned here with them to visit her grand father, Sam Stark and other relatives. ‘ # ^ 7 Mrs Frank Bayer, Claud Bayer, Bob Cotton, Larry Bauer, Dave Arcan, Mr and Mrs Alfred Payne and family, Ben Payne and M r and Mrs Sim Duncan and family .Were shoppers in The Dalles Mon day. .’ * Mrs H. A. Baumgartner from Auburn, W n.( spent from Sunday until Tuesday visiting at the home of her son and daughter in law, M r and Mrs B. C. Bauib- gartner and family. * > Wednesday June 4 was clean up day In Grass Valley when the ti-ees at the, park were trimmed and more tables were built and rubbish hauled to the dumps making the town look better and cleaner. A pot luck dinner was served at the park at noon. M r and Mrs Willard Barnett and son, Keith, returned home Sunday from Ione wh£fe they spent several days visiting her brother in law and sister, M r and Mrs Earl McKinney and family. .A rt Schilling went to Cottage Grove on business Tuesday. M r and Mrs Wallace May and son, Clarence, went to Hood R iv er Sunday to spend the day visit ing her parents, M r and Mrs J. A. Walter. Mrs Art Schilling and daughter Diane and Mrs W. F. Schilling were business . visitors in The Dalles Wednesday, June 11. M r and Mrs J. W. Blagg and daughter, ’ Marie, and Clair Bal- ser were visitors in The Dalles Sunday going over to Bingen,Wn„ to visit their son, Jimmy Blagg and family. M r and Mrs Bert Garrettson brought Mrs John Engstrom home Saturday from Boring where she spent thnee weeks via- iting them. They returned to the ir home 8unday. M r and Mrs Bill Brinkert left Thursday for-a trip to Canada and other places of interest. John Rolfe motored to Portland Wednesday on business returning home Friday bringing his father, T. M. Rolfe, home from the hos pital where he spent about ten weeks for medical attention. M r and Mrs Ed Alley and M r und Mrs Tom Alley with a cou sin left Tuesday morning for a trip to Canada. ~ Mr and Mrs Roy Feely and M r 2nd Maurice Feely and daughter of The Dalles spent Friday visitr ¡ng Relatives here. , M r and Mrs A. A. Dunlap went to Portland Saturday to return their grandson to his parents after spending a week here with them. They attend the Ice Fol lies while there. They met his sister, Mrs Nell Swick, who ar rived from Pennsylvania to spend the summer.
