Edwards who resigned from that post. Mr. Bearsley was at one time janitor of the Moro school. ** Mrs. Mike Mulick returned home Wednesday from the hos pital where she has been for sev eral days with a strep throat. ” Mr. and Mrs. Roy Belshee re turned from their trip to Cali fornia ttst week and report a very good time, no flats and good weather. Mrs. Jim Hollenbeck and son accompanied them from Oak land to The Dalles where she is visiting with her sister, Mrs. Perry Axtell. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Amidon and family of Goldendale were over Sunday to visit friends and rela tives. » M. M. Oveson and Carrel Ben nett went to The Dalles Tuesday evening to attend a Boy Scout meeting. Don DeMoss went to Portland for medical treatment. He has been having trouble with a swol len hand, being unable to work. * Mr. and Mrs. ’ Neal Freeman from Eugene and Mrs. C. S. Wiley of La Grande were week-end Visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Jay C. Freeman. They were down to at tend. the wedding of Bob Bris banejand Carole Dae Drinkard. Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Jones and daughter Doris went to Tygh Val ley last week-end to visit with their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hood and son, Mike. Sunday was Mike’s first birthday and they helped him celebrate it. Mrs. Mollie McLachlin went to JO tU XA L, MOBO, O RM O X Portland Tuesday to visit her (laughter Mrs. Art Chamness for a few days.' Lester Owen and Homer Curtis were up to visit the P.P.&L. Tuesday and George Edmiston and Bill Thomas on Wednesday. J. E. Yates of the Safety Division of the P.P.&L. was also through Moro on his way to Bend the first of the week. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Kock were dinner guests at the home Of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Barnum Wednes day. Joe Irzyk has been helping work the first of this week. Henry Barnum with his spring George Kruger has been helping Jess Landry as has Paul Cyphers been helping Art Bucholtz. Hugh Arstill has purchased the Wilson house and plans to move in this week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Arstell have two children. • Mr. and Mrs. M. D. Letson were in Moro over the week-end coming to take their furniture out of the Jackson home.
