Howard Schilling attend ed the annual meeting of the Deschutes association of Baptist churches in Burps last Thursday and Friday. Rev. Schilling spoke at >the Baptist church in Bend Wednesday evening and deliver ed the annual sermon at the asso ciation meeting. The Grass Valley Rebekah lodge is sponsoring a teachers’ reception at the I.O.O.F. hall Fri day evening October 18. Parents and friends are invited to attend. C. B. Doyle of The Dalles visit ed friends here Tuesday. Dr. and Mrs Willard Aldrich were entertained at the J. S. Fritts home for Sunday dinner. Rev.
