Eight men traveled from Union creek to the lake on two sno-cats, arriving a t their destination within a few hours Formerly the Journey has tak en two days when travelling was by skiis and snowshoes. The snow still was eight or nine feet deep in place, while the total snow fall this winter at the lake is reported to have been 21 1-2 feet. The crew went in early to make preparations for the taking of rainbow trout eggs this spring. It is hoped that about 6,000.000 eggs will be op- tained, part of which will be hat ch^d at the Diamond lake hatch ery and the rest distributes! to other stations in the state.
