Record breaking values on a store=wide scale for E V E R Y member of a family In Sherman county, school dis tricts (taxed property $31,887 more for the current school year than th ey did for the 1944-45 school year. Sherman county’s total increas ed taxpayer costs (for public schools, 1945-46 school year over 1944-45 school year, were $41,140. Thia increase in total school costs includes the county’s share c f $3,000,000 mon- of mcomie tax ' revenue that was distributed to schools during 1945-46. For the two school years, 1944-46 and 1946-47, a total o f $8,000,000 of state income tax revenue has l>een diverted to reduce p rop -ft y taxes for local school district purposes.
