Don Smith arrived in The Dal­
les Sunday from Bremerton, where
he received his discharge from the
navy after two years in the ser­
vice of which one year was spent
abroad the Tuscaloosa in the Chi­
na seas. Mr and Mrs Smith and
son, Larry, returned home Mon
day.
Miss Ossrie Holmes caime up
from The Dalles Friday to spend
the week end here. She attended
the turkey dinner at Kent Sun­
day.
Pfc C. J. Kuhek arrived Satur­
day from Marysville, California
to spend his furlough here with
his wife at the home of her par-
