Word received here is that Mrs Bessie ' Henrdicks, widow of the late Judge Carl Hendricks, was married to S. M. Seeley of Rich mond, Wheeler county early this month. When the Yank machine gunner was killed, Young left his foxhole and moving in the face of enemy fire ran to the gun emplacement and opened fire, kill ing and wounding five Germans. M. L. Fritts, one time resident of Gras* Valley, died at Newport July 4th at the age of 80 years. He was the father of Mrs L. W. Rakes and Cecil Fritts, who were well known at Grass Valley. Charles Boardman, now an at torney at Bend, went through Moro on the stage Wednesday, bound for Portland. J. H. Beemen and Harold Harris wood of San Francisco were guests at the Collis Moore ranch the first of the week. Beemen is a school friend of Mr Moore and originally from Portland.
