Mr. and Mrs. Grval Thogerson were here from Prineville last week end1 to visit friends and Mrs. Tluogerson’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Serai Searcy. A stubble fire caused by a spark from the exhaust of a truck caused considerable excitem ent at the Charley Fulton ranch this week. It burned so near the house tnat Mr. Fulton, who is in bed in a cast, was removed. He was later taken to a hospital. Three state police officers were checking driver’s licenses on the th e streets o f Moro Wednesday afternoon, finding m o st'^ o f the drivers equipped w ith the perm its. Mrs. Robert . Marvin ,, is^ here visiting her father, H arry Runs- man, while the Marvins are w ait ing fo r orders to move with the CCC camp to Heppner from H er miston. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Lawrence end daughter, Florence and son Herb, left this morning for^ P ort land to remain until the first of the week. Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Peetz and P a tric ia French went to Timber- lino Sunday to meet Mrs. Dorothy Peetz and children. Louie Peetz* returned with them to spend some time with his grandparents. Mrs. Emma Sayrs was brought buck from the hospital Sunday a fte r rem aining there for many weeks recovering from a broken hip caused by a fall. She is now able to get around a little and is recovering very well. Mr . Avery Martin and children were up i-om Portland to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Bel- phet last week.
