Cunliff is here for the re mainder of the summer. He has been in Portland with his mother who has been seriously ill. Bob Marvin was down from Stanfield for the week end. Mrs. Lucy Ruggles returned Saturday from a four day visit with Mr. and Mrs. Gene Cushman at -Carson, Wn. She went down with Mrs. Gladys Morrison, Mrs. L. V. Moore, Mrs. Irwin Morris, rr.d Mrs. Cecil Morse. John McCune was in Portland lust week to visit his daughter. Mr. ahd Mrs. L. R. Conlce left Saturday for the coast for a vaca tion of a-»few weeks. Mrs. Rob ert Hoakinson went as far as Port land with them, returning Tues day. Ramsey Sahadgwitz, Donald Thompson and Bob Flatt left Monday for the Boy Scoüt camp on the coast in Tillimook county. They expect to be gone a couple of weeks. . Harry Kunsman anu daughter, Marjorie, are leaving today for halls City to celebrate the fiftieth wedding anniversary of his aunt eno uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Mehr ling. * They will also visit at Sheda Mr. and 0 Mrs. Wily Knighten drove to Portland Saturday to \isit her parents and see her broth er, John McGregor who had re ’umed from New York to teach summer school at the University of Oregon. Word has been. received by friends in Moro of the death ol Mrs.‘C. E. Sheets, on July 20th. in Cleveland, Ohio where her daughter lives. The Sheets fam ily were residents of Moro some 20 years ago. Mr. Sheets had change of the light and water plant here. Since that time thev have lived in Spokane, where Mi. Sheets death occured several years ngo. Mrs. Sheets has made her home in The Dalles for two years. A. M. Zevely reports that he has killed 18 coyotes in this coun ty during the past 91 days with which the report deals. , Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Miller are the parents of a daughter, born in The Dalles last Saturday. Eddie Peters went to Arling. ton to learn about the office there, before taking charge of it during the vacation of the head man. Martin celebrated their fifty-sixth wed ding anniversary last Sunday by entertaining friends at dinner.
