for 70 crops if it could all be re ­
moved, which it cannot.

Joe B elanger, who is experim ent
ing in sum m erfallow m ethods a t
the local ex perim ent statio n , told
of the work he is doing w ith th ree
types of fallow, the regular tmoW-
board, the disced and the lis te r
plowed. The experim ent has been
going on but one y e a r and th a t
not typical and no resu lts can be
proven. Indications are th a t th e
method will show b est th a t is able
to retain the g re a te s t am o u n t of
mt isture in the fallow.
Law rence Jenkins talked about
the weed situation and review ed

dium chlorate put on a t ab o u t 4
pounds per acre is ap p aren tly the-

Carbon bisulphide does a better
job of killing w hite top although
