Mrs. Sorber was form er ly Maida M essinger, who attended school here. All attemfcd the M essinger fam ily reunion held in The Dalles Sunday when 42 mem bers of the fam ily were together. J. B. Adams returned from P ort land Wednesday a fter spending the holiday in the -city with his fam ily. He heard the m eteor that caused so much disturbance in Portland Sunday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Harlow Parkins snent the Fourth here with Mrs. Parkins parents, Mr. and Mr* W. S. Powell. All were in Bend the night of the 3rd to view the pageant there. Robert Hoskirrson and family were in Bend Monday night and spent the following day at Camp She? man. Clinton Ringler was delivered to the commanding officer a t Van couver Barracks by Sheriff Wilson last week. Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Barnum drove to Fossil Friday remaining unM Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Giles French and children attended the Bend ’. yater fete Monday night, returning horn' the same night. L. L. Peetz and wife went to Camp Sherman Sunday with Mr and Mrs. Lyle Woods in order to be there to m e:t their daughter. Mrs. Carl Landstrom , who witl her h m b and drove up from Arizo na. They expect to remain here for nearly a month as Mr. Land- strom will attend classes a t Van couver for a two w e k s period. Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Barzee and fam ily were among those who spent the holiday a t Camp Sher man.
